LinkedIn Profile Inspector — brutally honest, free.
Paste your LinkedIn profile URL. We grade your headline, About, experience and featured sections, surface what's working, and tell you the 5 things to fix this week.
Not a checklist. A real audit.
Most LinkedIn profile checkers tell you to add a photo and fill out your About section. That's wallpaper. This audit tells you what your headline says about you, why your About reads like a 2014 resume, and which job listing sells you and which one buries you.
- ✓Letter grade (A–F) and one-line verdict
- ✓1–10 score and 2-sentence feedback for headline, About, experience, featured
- ✓3–5 specific strengths, 3–5 specific weaknesses
- ✓5 ranked improvements (high / medium / low priority)
- ✓An honest roast of your profile choices (kept playful, never personal)
- ✓A shareable URL with a preview image so you can post your grade
60 seconds, four steps
- 01
Make sure your profile is public
Open LinkedIn settings → Visibility → Profile viewing options. Set 'Public profile visibility' to On so we can read your headline and About section.
- 02
Copy your profile URL
Hit your profile, copy the URL (looks like https://www.linkedin.com/in/yourname/).
- 03
Paste it above and audit
Drop the URL in the input and hit 'Audit my profile'. Takes about 1-2 minutes.
- 04
Read the roast, fix the high-priority items
Focus on the 'high priority' improvements first — those are the ones that move the needle this week. Re-run the audit in 2 weeks to track your grade.
The four things that decide whether your profile converts
Headline
Most headlines are job titles. That's wallpaper. The headlines that convert have who you help, what outcome you create, and a specific hook someone would remember 24 hours later.
About
The About section is your only paragraph of long-form real estate above the fold. The good ones open with a specific claim, prove it with one or two stories, and end with a clear next step. The bad ones list adjectives.
Experience
The good experience entries are outcomes, not duties. "Grew ARR from $1M to $4M in 18 months with no paid spend" beats "Responsible for revenue growth."
Featured
The Featured section is criminally underused. It's where you can link to your best post, your demo video, your podcast appearance, your one-pager. Empty Featured = leaving conversion on the table.
