Free, brutally honest, no signup. Profile must be public. ~1-2 min.

What you get

Not a checklist. A real audit.

Most LinkedIn profile checkers tell you to add a photo and fill out your About section. That's wallpaper. This audit tells you what your headline says about you, why your About reads like a 2014 resume, and which job listing sells you and which one buries you.

  • ✓Letter grade (A–F) and one-line verdict
  • ✓1–10 score and 2-sentence feedback for headline, About, experience, featured
  • ✓3–5 specific strengths, 3–5 specific weaknesses
  • ✓5 ranked improvements (high / medium / low priority)
  • ✓An honest roast of your profile choices (kept playful, never personal)
  • ✓A shareable URL with a preview image so you can post your grade
How it works

60 seconds, four steps

  1. 01

Make sure your profile is public

Open LinkedIn settings → Visibility → Profile viewing options. Set 'Public profile visibility' to On so we can read your headline and About section.

  2. 02

    Copy your profile URL

Hit your profile, copy the URL (looks like https://www.linkedin.com/in/yourname/).

  3. 03

    Paste it above and audit

Drop the URL in the input and hit 'Audit my profile'. Takes about 1-2 minutes.

  4. 04

Read the roast, fix the high-priority items

Focus on the 'high priority' improvements first — those are the ones that move the needle this week. Re-run the audit in 2 weeks to track your grade.

What we look for

The four things that decide whether your profile converts

Headline

Most headlines are job titles. That's wallpaper. The headlines that convert have who you help, what outcome you create, and a specific hook someone would remember 24 hours later.

About

The About section is your only paragraph of long-form real estate above the fold. The good ones open with a specific claim, prove it with one or two stories, and end with a clear next step. The bad ones list adjectives.

Experience

The good experience entries are outcomes, not duties. "Grew ARR from $1M to $4M in 18 months with no paid spend" beats "Responsible for revenue growth."

Featured

The Featured section is criminally underused. It's where you can link to your best post, your demo video, your podcast appearance, your one-pager. Empty Featured = leaving conversion on the table.

FAQ

Free LinkedIn Profile Inspector FAQ

Is this LinkedIn profile audit really free?

+
Yes. No signup, no credit card, no email required. We rate-limit a few audits per IP per day so we don't get destroyed by bots.

What does the audit cover?

+
We grade four sections — Headline, About, Experience and Featured — on a 1-10 scale, surface 3-5 specific strengths, 3-5 specific weaknesses, and rank the top 5 things you should fix this week vs this month vs nice-to-have. Plus a one-liner verdict and an honest roast of your profile choices.

Will the roast be mean?

+
It's playful but pointed. We critique your *profile choices* (a generic headline, a wall-of-text About section, three jobs with no measurable outcomes) — never anything personal about your looks, age, gender, or anything outside your control.

Does the profile have to be public?

+
Yes — we can only see what a logged-out browser can see. If your profile is set to 'private mode' or you've hidden your headline/About from non-connections, the audit won't have much to work with. Toggle public visibility on, run the audit, then toggle it back if you want.

How is this different from the LinkedIn Profile Checklist?

+
LinkedIn's own checklist tells you to 'add a profile photo' and 'fill out your About section'. We tell you why your specific About section reads like a resume from 2014 and what to write instead. We're more like having a profile coach for 60 seconds than a generic checklist.

Why should I trust the AI to audit my profile?

+
We don't run a 'check 47 boxes' template — we feed your full profile data to a model that's been prompted by a profile-coaching framework, and ask it to be specific and harsh. The output is much closer to what a paid coach would tell you than what an automated audit tool typically produces. That said, treat it as a strong second opinion, not gospel.

Can I share my audit?

+
Yes. Every audit gets a unique share URL with a Twitter/LinkedIn-friendly preview image. Share your grade and roast — it's a fun forcing function to actually fix the things.

What happens to my profile data?

+
We cache the public profile data we scrape for 30 days so the share link keeps working. We don't sell, share, or use it for anything else. Audits auto-delete after 30 days.
