LinkedIn Post Preview - see the cut before your readers do.
Paste your post and see it the way the feed shows it, on a phone or a laptop. You see exactly what shows before "...more", plus quick checks on your hook, length and paragraphs.
Most LinkedIn posts lose the reader before "...more". Not because the idea is bad. Because the first line gives nobody a reason to tap.
136 characters show before readers have to tap "...more".
- ✓Your whole first line shows before "...more" on mobile.
- ✓Within LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit.
- ✓Paragraphs are short enough to scan on a phone.

Replace the sample with your draft. Posts sent from the formatter or post generator open here automatically.
- 02
Pick mobile or desktop
Most LinkedIn reading happens on phones, where the cut comes sooner. Check both.
- 03
Read what shows before "...more"
The box under the preview shows exactly the text above the cut, with quick checks on the hook, length and paragraphs.
- 04
Fix the hook, then copy
Tighten the first line until it makes sense on its own, then copy the post into LinkedIn.
Your post is judged on the lines above “...more”
LinkedIn shows the first few lines of every post and hides the rest behind "...more". On a phone that is often fewer than 140 characters. Whatever sits above the cut has to make someone tap; everything below it only gets read if that works.
That's why a strong first line matters more than any other edit. A hook that is cut mid-sentence, or one that spends its space on warm-up, loses readers before your idea starts.
What to look for in the preview
- ✓The first line makes sense on its own and ends before the cut.
- ✓There's a reason to tap in the visible text: a number, a tension, a surprising admission.
- ✓Paragraphs are one to three lines, with blank lines between them.
- ✓Three hashtags or fewer, at the end.
- ✓If you include a link, decide whether it belongs in the post or the first comment.
