LinkedIn Post Date Extractor - the exact date, not just "2mo".
LinkedIn tells you a post is “3w” old and leaves it there. Paste the link and see the exact date and time it went live, down to the second.
The date appears as soon as you paste. Works on post and comment links, and nothing leaves your browser.
Find a post's date in three steps
- 01
Copy the post's link
On the post, press the three dots in the top right and choose Copy link to post. On a phone, use Share, then Copy link.
- 02
Paste it in the box
The exact date and time appear as soon as you paste. There's no button to press.
- 03
Copy what you need
Take the date in your own timezone, or the UTC version if you're citing it or comparing across timezones.
Where the date comes from
A LinkedIn post link contains a 19-digit number, like activity-7500000000000000000. That number is built the same way across the platform: its first 41 binary digits are the moment the post was created, counted in milliseconds since 1970.
The extractor pulls out those digits and converts them to a date. The work happens on your device, so it never loads the post. That also means it works on posts you can't see, as long as you have the link.
Why people check a post's date
- ✓Checking whether a statistic, price or job post is still current.
- ✓Citing a LinkedIn post, which needs a real publish date.
- ✓Working out when a claim or announcement was first made.
- ✓Seeing when a competitor posts, to compare with your own schedule.
- ✓Deciding whether a post is recent enough to be worth a comment.

Checking dates by hand is slow. The Comment Agent does the finding for you.
If you're dating posts to see which are worth commenting on, Commentify's Comment Agent does that job every day. It starts with posts from the last 24 hours on the topics you choose, skips the ones where a comment wouldn't be seen, and comments in your voice.
